Richard J. Dutch

BOONVILLE — Richard J. "Dick" Dutch, 63, of Main St. a former resident of State Rt. 26, West Leyden, passed away in Boonville, on Friday, March 5, 2010.

He was born in Rome, on November 27, 1946, a son of Edward W. and Bethany J. Ammon (Betty) Dutch. He grew up on the Dutch family farm on the Golden Road, and graduated from West Leyden Central School with the Class of 1964.

For a time he was employed for the Town of Ava Highway Department; then for many years he was employed as a truck driver for Central Asphalt Co. of New Hartford. After he retired he was employed as a bar tender at the Milk Plant Tavern of West Leyden.

On July 20, 1968, he was married to Linda Fuller at St. Mary's Church, West Leyden. Later they were divorced. He married Nancy Weiler, and later they were divorced.

He is survived by two daughters, Christina Dutch, Somerville, MA., and Karin Dutch, Blasdell, NY, one granddaughter, Jade Salzman, Blasdell, three brothers; Dennis Dutch, Boonville, Michael (Mary) Dutch, Boonville, Douglas (Tamara) Dutch, Mt. Juliet, TN., three sisters; Patricia Koster, Boonville, Jayne Houghton, Bloomingburg, NY, and Sandra (Kurt) Mazur, Boonville, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents in 1985, a brother, Lynn Edward Dutch, 1997, and a sister, Janet Dutch Homick, in 1996.

At the time of his death, Richard was under the loving care of Patricia Koster, and Linda and Peter Breen of Boonville.

His Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Leyden. Calling hours are Monday 4-8 P.M.
