Simao, DeGuardia named state's top tax scofflaws

Philip J. Simao, Alexandria Bay, and John P. DeGuardia, Turin, were named Tuesday to the state Department of Tax and Finance's list of the top 250 tax scofflaws.

The list includes 250 individuals who have had outstanding tax warrants filed against them in the last 12 months, ranked from most tax owed to least owed.

Mr. Simao, of DealMaker, is No. 61 on the list, owing $1,067,158.27. Mr. DeGuardia, owner of Timberview Lodge, is No. 132, owing $647,341.57
