■ LOWVILLE — The Lewis County Board of Legislators will hold a committee-meeting-of-the-whole at 5 p.m. today to hear a presentation from solid waste staff on their vision for keeping it a county operation.

■ Maggie's on the River, 500 Newell St., opened for business Monday afternoon. The restaurant, located in the former Red Lion brewery, includes an expanded bar, dining on the first and second floors and a conference area on the top floor.

■ HENDERSON — The Town Council will meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Henderson Town Office to meet with counsel from Hancock & Estabrook LLP to discuss the Article 78 proceeding it is filing against the town of Hounsfield. The meeting will be held in executive session.
