FORT DRUM — Two members of the Army post's leadership have retired.
10th Mountain Division Command Sgt. Maj. James W. Redmore has retired after a 29-year Army career, and Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald D. Andrews retired after 30 years of Army service. Both men were honored during separate ceremonies last week.
Sgt. Maj. Andrews relinquished responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. John F. McNeirney. Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Greca, currently at Fort Polk, La., will replace Sgt. Maj. Redmore as the division's command sergeant major.
The division and garrison command sergeant majors are the senior enlisted soldiers in their commands.
Sgt. Maj. Redmore previously served as a battalion command sergeant major with the 82nd Airborne Division and 1st Infantry Division, and command sergeant major with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
Sgt. Maj. Andrews served as command sergeant major for aviation battalions at Fort Rucker, Ala., and Camp Humphreys, Korea, and as command sergeant major for the 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry at Fort Drum.
Sgt. Maj. McNeirney served as battalion command sergeant major for the 91st Military Police Battalion at Fort Drum.
