OGDENSBURG — Hacketts Stores Inc. announced Wednesday that it has paid the remaining $38,000 on a loan from North Country Alliance.
"With the help of our parent company, we are glad to have satisfied this agency loan in full and look forward to doing the same with each and every local development agency here in the north country," Herbert L. Becker, president and chief executive officer of Patrick Hackett Hardware Co., said in a statement.
In November, Patrick Hackett Hardware Co., a subsidiary of Hacketts Stores Inc., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with more than 200 creditors owed at least an estimated $10 million, yet the company lists assets of less than $50,000.
