Gerda Barbour, pictured with her dog, will present a special program from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church chapel, 403 Washington St. Ms. Barbour, spokeswoman for North Country Self-Advocates and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, will be joined by John Leo, a Jefferson Rehabilitation Center adviser, and by David Liscomb and Heather Romanek. They will be showing a video, sharing personal testimonies and answering questions. This year's theme is 'Spread the word to end the word. The new 'R' word is Respect.' Refreshments will be served.
