Two injured when vehicle
goes off road, strikes pole
Two men were injured at 12:45 p.m. Thursday when their car went off Route 342 in the town of Pamelia, shearing a utility pole and causing a power interruption, according to state police.
A passenger, Michael G. McDonald, 21, Auburn, suffered a possible fractured pelvis and was transferred to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after being treated at Samaritan Medical Center.
The driver, Eugene L. Cooke, 22, Fort Drum, was treated at the city hospital for leg and hip injuries.
Police said the car was eastbound when it went off the left side of the road. The investigation is continuing.
Champion woman injured
when pickup overturns
EVANS MILLS — A town of Champion woman was injured Wednesday evening when her pickup overturned on Gardnerville Road in the town of LeRay while she was swerving to avoid an animal, according to state police.
Teal J. Abel, 47, of 35512 Route 26, was treated at Carthage Area Hospital for multiple complaints of pain, police said.
She was driving northeast when the animal darted in front of her truck, police said. No summonses were issued.
Police say Clayton man
threw eggs at camper
CLAYTON — James M. Mosher, 37, Pier House, Apt. 2, is due to appear in town of Clayton Court to face allegations that he threw eggs at a camper trailer, according to state police.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief 40 minutes after troopers received the complaint at 12:10 a.m. Thursday from Jay Bearup, Lyellton Drive, owner of the trailer, police said.
Evans Mills man charged
with harassing his sister
EVANS MILLS — William S. Church, 27, North Martin Road, was charged Monday with aggravated harassment after he had an argument with his sister during a telephone conversation, according to state police.
He is charged in a complaint filed by his sister, Kimberly Smith, 24, police said.
