I've been watching the newspapers and have read about Tops Markets buying and selling many P&C Foods markets with the exception of the one in Watertown, the newly remodeled P&C in the Seaway Plaza.

The only grocery store on the north side of the city, this store has loyal customers from the high-rise apartments, housing projects, mobile home park and the nearby neighborhood, to say nothing about the many people from small towns who visit this store to shop.

People in wheelchairs and motorized carts travel there not just for the convenience but for the friendly workers who go out of their way to help with their every need.

The sales revenue from this store should prove its value to you and to our community. Tops' executives, please don't be afraid of the Wal-Mart Super store. Step up and show them what a real leader in the industry you are, and save this store. I ask you to open your eyes and see what a diamond you have on the north side of Watertown.
