Three Lewis County villages will have contested trustee races Tuesday.

In Lyons Falls, four people — Jeffrey Hoskins, Donna Dolhof and husband-and-wife combination Michael and Fausta Poste — are running for a pair of two-year trustee seats. Catherine Liendecker, president of Lyons Falls Alive, is running unopposed for a two-year term as mayor; Mayor Ronald Dorrity is not running for re-election.

In Port Leyden, trustees Peter Kraeger and Peter Smith are being challenged by James Cough, a past Constableville mayor, in their bids for new two-year terms.

In Turin, former Mayor William Kapfer is opposing Trustee William Paczkowski in his bid for a new four-year term. Mayor Douglas Hunt is running unopposed for a four-year term.

Two other Lewis County villages will have uncontested trustee races. In Constableville, Robert Greene and Cortney Markham are running for two-year seats. In Copenhagen, Scott Alexander and Kim Vogt are running for two-year seats.

Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be no elections this year in Castorland or Croghan.
