Assemblyman William A. Barclay, Pulaski, will tell supporters tonight that he has decided not to run for the Republican nomination in the 23rd Congressional District.

Mr. Barclay will instead seek election in the 124th Assembly District.

The assemblyman's decision to drop out of the race leaves three potential candidates. Douglas L. Hoffman, Lake Placid, and Matthew A. Doheny, Watertown, are in. Paul A. Maroun, Tupper Lake, is interested, but not yet committed.
