■ The city of Watertown Department of Public Works will begin regularly collecting yard waste after April 1.
■ CAPE VINCENT — Meetings of the Town Council will be at the Cape Vincent Recreation Park, 602 S. James St., until further notice. The regular meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month.
■ SANDY CREEK — The semi-annual salt pork supper planned for late April has been canceled. The event, sponsored by the Lake Ontario Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 124, will not be rescheduled.
■ MALONE — Wayne P. Rogers, a retired biology teacher, was named Tuesday to the board of visitors of the Sunmount Developmental Disabilities Services Office. His appointment was made by the state Senate.
■ National Grid employees have been performing annual maintenance in the company's underground vaults in Public Square, said spokeswoman Courtney A. Quatrino. They have been testing fuses and water pumps and removing road salt from the vaults.
