OGDENSBURG — Funeral services for Wanda M. Seguin, age 82, of 332 Linden St., Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at 10:00AM at Fox and Murray Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Interment will follow the service at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Seguin passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by all of her children and holding the hand of her husband of 62 years.
Surviving is her husband John A. Seguin; eight children; Wayne A. Seguin and his wife Joan of Staten Island, N.Y.; Patricia Skidds of Massena, N.Y.; Richard Seguin of Heuvelton, N.Y.;. Ronald Seguin and his wife Cathy of Ogdensburg; William Seguin and his wife Cathy of Heuvelton; Peggy Cohen of Ogdensburg; Barbara Badlam and her husband Tony of Ogdensburg; and Kevin Seguin of Heuvelton. As well as by brothers Harlow Perry of Ogdensburg; Allan Perry of Dallas, Texas; and Leslie Perry of Wolfe City, Texas; and sisters Lucy Salton of Ogdensburg, and Eileen Arquitt of Winthrop, N.Y. She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren: Megan Seguin; John W. and Joan A. Seguin; John A., Michael, Bryan and Betsy Skidds; Veronica Seguin; Ryan, Joseph and Christopher Seguin; Matthew Cohen; and Sara and Kyle Badlam. She is survived as well by 10 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Doris Perry, a brother Lloyd Homes, sisters Florence Perry, Patricia Perry, Beulah Fields, Eunice Fielding, Frances Ashley, and Bettylou Perry and grandchildren Andrew Cohen and Lindsey Cohen.
Wanda was born in Massena on April 1, 1927, a daughter of the late George and Doris Perry. She attended Massena High School and married John A. Seguin on March 29, 1948. She worked at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric center for over 30+ years as a therapy aide and retired in 1983.
Her family will forever miss her and be eternally grateful for the devotion she has showered on her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She lived life under a simple philosophy: family first and always. She enjoyed shopping and the weekly family Sunday dinners with her children. We miss her so.
