WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Freshman Alyssa Cristaldi took 12 shots, making eight of them, to lead Clarkson to a 19-15 victory over Keene State in nonconference women's lacrosse Monday.
Cristaldi fell one goal short of tying the school record of most goals in a game. Katie VanDeValk had four goals and Kimberly Loucks added three scores for the Golden Knights (1-0 overall).
Samantha Benson had three tallies for Keene State.
■ David Kinney went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs for Clarkson, but the Golden Knights couldn't hold an early lead on Stevens Institute of Technology, eventually falling 11-3 at Winter Haven, Fla. Clarkson won only one game in its annual Florida trip, finishing the week 1-4 overall. Jerry Coleman went 3-for-4 and is batting .700 through the first five games of the season.
