POTSDAM — Mrs. Carolyn Robbins Sisson passed away on March 15, 2010 in Sarasota, Fla.

There will be a burial at the convenience of the family at Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam, N.Y. Local arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Home in Potsdam, N.Y.

She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Robin and Brian Wilkinson of Norwood, Judith and Dixon Hoogendoorn of Middletown, R.I., Sarah and Martin Manley of Norfolk, N.Y.; grandchildren Todd and Colleen Manley, Jan Wilkinson, Barbara and Richard Bond, Sarah and Kevin Lopes, Karen and Kerin Royds; and five great-grandchildren, Dean and Leah Manley, Kyle and Garret Bond and Grayson Lopes.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis T. E. Sisson Jr., and a brother, Donald Robbins.

She was born March 6, 1917 in Northport, Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Harry and Lillian Robbins. She graduated from Northport High School and St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. She was in the class of 1938, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Carolyn and Francis T. E. Sisson were married May 18, 1940 at the Northport Methodist Church with the Rev.'s W.C. Craig and J.L. Gregory officiating.

Mrs. Sisson was a member of the Potsdam First Presbyterian Church, the Potsdam Hospital Guild and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley, The First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam or to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
