Thea E. Brown

Thea E. Brown, 88, formerly of Adams Center and St. Petersburg, FL died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Mercy of Northern New York where she had been a resident.

Born October 20, 1921 in Silver Creek, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Christman Williams attended school in Adams.

She married Kenneth Glass on February 15, 1940. Mr. Glass died November 6, 1983. Later she married Fred Brown on April 26, 1993. He died February 19, 2004.

Mrs. Brown worked in the cafeteria at Adams Center Central School, was a waitress and factory worker in Florida.

She enjoyed reading, walking and being outdoors.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Kenneth and Brenda Glass, Ellisburg; a daughter and her husband, Evelyn and Gerald Slye, Ellisburg; 3 brothers, Roland, FL, Earl, Cortland and Clifford, Watertown and Florida; 2 sisters, Beulah Barnes, Fulton and Alice HeHir, Rochester; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Three brothers, Alfred, Richard and James, and a sister, Edna Mullen died before her.

A graveside service at Ellisburg Cemetery will be in the spring.
