Small Business Center offers entrepreneur class

The Small Business Development Center at Jefferson Community College will begin an entrepreneurial training course on April 1.

The course gives guidance and support to people interested in starting or expanding a small business. It consists of classroom training and one-on-one meetings with an adviser from the center and covers credit, business planning, securing loans, choosing insurance, marketing and bookkeeping.

The course is being offered in partnership with HSBC Bank USA and the Jefferson Country Industrial Development Agency. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays from April 1 through May 13 at JCC.

Preregistration with $165 payment is required by Thursday. To register, call the center at 782-9262.
