LOWVILLE — A concert at the Lowville United Methodist Church will benefit a Lewis County mission group's relief efforts in Haiti. The Lowville Jazz Band, a choir and soloists will perform at 7 p.m. Monday at the church, 7618 N. State St.
An offering will be collected for Son Light Missions Lacolline Inc., a Castorland-based group that operates a mission compound in Haiti and has been working to send tents, food and supplies to the island nation since the massive earthquake there in January.
Son Light Missions Board Chairman Nelson L. Roes, who recently returned from Haiti, will give a presentation on the work in that country.
The church also will hold a ham dinner at 5 p.m. The cost is $8 per person, with proceeds going to the church.
