PHILADELPHIA — Marlene L. Robinson, 70, of Irish Avenue died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Carthage Area Hospital.
Born September 18, 1939 in Gouverneur, she was the daughter of Maurice T. and Lillian T. Gibson Aldrich, and graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1957.
She married Frank Robinson of Theresa on September 28, 1957. The couple resided in Oxbow from 1960 to 1973 and then moved to Philadelphia.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Oxbow Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Philadelphia Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Civic League and was an avid Bingo player.
Surviving besides her husband, are two sons and their wives, Larry and Tracey, Philadelphia and Leslie and Rhonda , Oxbow; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Laurie and Greg Delles and Linda and Bryan Shorkey, all of Philadelphia and Lisa Hull and her companion, Norm Woodcock, Natural Bridge; 2 stepsons, Howard (Mary) Robinson, Philadelphia and Stanley Robinson, address unknown; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Olan, Mechanicsville, Eugene, Antwerp, Maurice, Greenwich, Donald, Warrensburg, Ronald, Greenwich, Richard, Watertown and Terry, Mechanicsville; 4 sisters, Lois Canning, Winter Springs, FL, Frances Miller, Fine, Luava Culbertson, Greenwich and Carol Cunningham, Oxbow.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Indian River Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Proctor officiating. Burial will be at Spragueville Cemetery.
