Rachel Beckley, Robert Schwaller

Joseph T. and Debbie K. Beckley, Port Allegany, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel E.C. Beckley, Hamilton, Mass., to Robert C. Schwaller, State College, Pa.

Miss Beckley received a bachelor's and a master's degree in history, classics and ancient Mediterranean studies from Pennsylvania State University. She is attending Gordon Conwell Seminary, Hamilton.

Mr. Schwaller, son of John F. and Anne C. Schwaller, Potsdam, is a 2003 graduate of Grinnell (Iowa) College, where he received a bachelor's degree in anthropology and art history. He plans to graduate from Pennsylvania State University in May with a doctorate of philosophy in history.

A May 29 wedding is planned in Potsdam.
