Courtney Belloff, Jonathan Barker

Susan and David Belloff, Adams, announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney E. Belloff, Adams, to Jonathan B. Barker, also of Adams.

Miss Belloff is a 2004 graduate of South Jefferson Central School, Adams, and graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor's degree in elementary, special and dance education. She received a master's degree in education as a literacy specialist from SUNY Potsdam in 2009. She is a kindergarten teacher at Black River Elementary in the Carthage Central School District.

Mr. Barker, son of Loyd and Vicky Barker, Adams, is also a 2004 graduate of South Jefferson Central School. He received an associate's degree in science and mathematics from Jefferson Community College and an associate's degree in fisheries and wildlife from SUNY Cobleskill. He plans to graduate from SUNY Cobleskill in May with a bachelor of technology degree in wildlife management.

The couple will reside in Adams.

An August 2011 wedding is planned.
