HERMON — A man suffered minor injuries Saturday morning when the tractor-trailer he was driving overturned.

State police said Dustin R. Brunet, 28, of 151 Miles Road, was driving too fast when he lost control of the truck and drove off East DeKalb Road.

The truck, which is owned by Gebarten Acres, overturned and spilled approximately 7,500 gallons of liquid manure and 50 to 75 gallons of diesel fuel, troopers said. State police said Department of Environmental Conservation officials were called to clean up the spill, and the road was closed for about two hours.

The Canton Rescue Squad took Mr. Brunet to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where he was treated for cuts to his head and chin. State police said charges may be filed.
