Joan M. Clark

A Mass of the Resurrection for Joan Marie Clark, 68, of 141 Tiernan Ridge Road, Chase Mills, NY who passed away on March 19, 2010 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital will be held Tuesday 10:00 am at the St. Raymond's Church with Rev. Andrew J. Amyot officiating. Visitation will be held at Phillips Memorial home, Massena Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Burial will be in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk, NY.

Joan is survived by her mother Doris E. (Martin) Clark five brothers James and Annette Clark, Star Road Norfolk, John and Karen Clark, Dishaw Road Chase Mills, Randy and May Clark County Rt. 44, Madrid and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her father Robert H. Clark, a brother Daniel W. Clark, and a nephew William Clark.

Joan was born July 9, 1942 in Potsdam the daughter of Robert and Doris (Martin) Clark. Joan graduated from Norwood-Norfolk in 1962 and continued her education graduating from Potsdam State with a Masters of Science in Education. She worked at Canton Daycare Center for 9 years and later retired from Trinity Catholic School after nine years of teaching in their pre-K program. Joan also worked as a domestic helper and a baby-sitter. Joan's life was dedicated to her family and any child who needed her help. She was a member of St. Raymond's Rosary Society.
