Susan S. Day, age 48 of Morris Tract Rd. Chaumont, passed away at her mothers' home on Arsenal St. in Watertown on Saturday morning. She had been under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Susan was born November 18, 1961 in Watertown the daughter of Donald and Edna Shaw Sullivan. She graduated from Sackets Harbor High School in 1979 and from JCC in 1981 with a degree in Business Admin.

She married George A. Day on August 29, 1986 at the Sullivan Family Home. The couple have lived at their present home since 1993.

After graduation she worked at S. Jeff School District. She was business manager at the Madison Barracks Apartment Complex, and Susan worked as an executive assistant at the Jefferson Rehab Center for the past 12 years. She was a member of Lyme School Board for 15 years and a past president leaving the school board in 2007. She was the Women's Golf Champion at Bedford Creek Golf Club for 4 years in a row. She also enjoyed watching her children play sports.

Susan is survived by her husband George; twin daughters Megan E. of Watertown, and Amanda M. of Webster and daughter Melissa M. of Boston, Mass., sons Justin M. of Chaumont and Christopher M. and his wife Ann of Port Charlotte, Fl. and 3 grandchildren.

She is also survived by her parents Donald and Edna Sullivan of Watertown , brothers Stephen and Kezia Sullivan of Sackets Harbor, and James and Peggy Sullivan of Albany, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 1 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Jim Hayes officiating. Private burial will be at Three Mile Bay Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9.
