The Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Forum on at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Black River Valley Club, 131 Washington St., to meet the two finalists for the chamber’s president and chief executive officer position.

The chamber’s board of directors have narrowed a field of about 50 applicants to Jill M. Bettinger and Peter J. Whitmore. Ms. Bettinger is dean for continuing education at Jefferson Community College, Watertown, and has a masters of business administration from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Whitmore is the director of corporate relations at Jrecks Subs Inc., and earned a bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland. Both candidates live in Jefferson County.

The board will vote on the position immediately following the Community forum.

The luncheon will cost $15 and is open to the public. To make reservations, call the chamber at 788-4400.
