North American Tapes expansion approved

Specialty tapes manufacturer North American Tapes LLC got approval to double the size of its town of Watertown plant on Fisher Road in the Jefferson County Industrial Park.

The 20,800-square-foot addition on the 22,000-square-foot facility was approved during the town of Watertown Planning Board meeting on Monday night. The expansion will accommodate a night shift and will allow the company to hire 20 more employees over the next three years, President Darrin R. Prance told the board in April.

North American Tapes, which dubs itself the number two hockey tape manufacturer in the world, currently employs 21.
