Former chairman's widow elected to Clarkson board

POTSDAM — Judith J. Foster, Clayton, was elected to Clarkson Unversity's board of trustees. She will serve on the physical plant, institutional advancement and academic affairs committees.

She is the wife of the late Everett G. Foster, who was chairman of the board of trustees until he died in Feburary.

She has served on numerous volunteer boards, including as the first woman to chair the board of Samaritan Medical Center, chairwoman of the hospital's foundation board and member of the Health Care Trustees of New York State.

She also was a member of the Fort Drum Regional Liaison Organization, president of Bugbee Housing Development Co. and a member of the Thousand Islands State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commission.
