NYPA announces five offshore wind proposals

In the end, the New York Power Authority had five proposals for offshore wind power projects totaling up to 500 megawatts of capacity.
The announcement was Friday in Buffalo and this report is from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. The story doesn't indicate any are near Jefferson or Oswego counties, which the authority promised to avoid after the counties' legislatures voted against having turbines in nearby waters in Lake Ontario.
