NBA exhibition featuring Flynn set for Dome

Former Syracuse University men's basketball standout Johnny Flynn will play in an NBA preseason game at the Carrier Dome this fall, SU has announced.

Flynn and his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates will face the Detroit Pistons at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15. It will be the first NBA game hosted at the Dome since 2008.

The former college star played two seasons for the Orange before being selected sixth overall by the Timberwolves in the 2009 NBA Draft. He started 81 games for Minnesota last season, scoring 13.5 points per game. His 4.4 assists per game and 233 steals were team highs.
