SUNY Potsdam professor awarded for online class

POTSDAM — Kelly K. Bonnar-Kidd, community health professor at SUNY Potsdam, was awarded a $1,000 prize for her online class, "Navigating the American Diet." In the class, students learned about weight management, including fad diets and eating disorders, as well as surgical treatments for obesity.

The award was established by SUNY Potsdam alumnus Thomas L. Russell and his wife, Jane D. It is given every year to encourage distance learning at the college.
