People were encouraged when Barack Obama campaigned for president. The hope for change coming to Washington won that election. Unfortunately, time has shown that like the vast majority of political promises given to Main Street Americans that promise has proven shallow.
Ask President Obama a question and the answer will often begin with, "You have to understand how things work in Washington." Main Street Americans do understand how things work in Washington.
Place any legal terminology on whatever thing the government is doing, the facts are the laws, rules and regulations enacted in Washington reflect the will of those who provide the most money to the members of Congress or their staff working on that subject. If it talks like a prostitute and it walks like a prostitute, it is a prostitute, deceptive and twisted explanations not withstanding.
People laughed when I voted for Ross Perot. But look where two horns of the beast, the Democrats and Republicans, have taken us since. Their ideology has become a religion tangled with "my right versus your wrong" in public and money-grabbers behind closed doors.
