Woman sentenced for sex with teen

A town of Lorraine woman was sentenced Monday in Jefferson County Court to 10 years' probation for having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy with another youth was in the room.

Tammy L. Sprague,31, of 22376 County Route 189, also was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and ordered to register with the state as a Level 2 sexual offender for May 28 guilty pleas to third-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

She admitted she had sexual intercourse with the teen March 3 while a 12-year-old child was asleep in the room. The incident occurred at a Watertown residence.

In other court activity Monday:

Bradley D. Smith Jr.,28, Watertown, admitted violating probation and was resentenced to nine months in the PSB, with credit for time served. He admitted violating probation by continuing to use marijuana while under supervision and by failing to follow through on substance abuse treatment recommendations. He was serving five years' probation imposed in November 2007 for a drug sale conviction.

Samantha Keegan,25, Watertown, was sentenced to five years' probation for a May 24 guilty plea to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She admitted she gave or sold cocaine to another person Aug. 20 in Watertown.

Marika Carter,23, Fort Drum, was sentenced to an unspecified amount of time served at the PSB and three years' probation for May 24 guilty pleas to third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She admitted that she struck a child multiple times March 22 in the town of LeRay, leaving several bruises on the child.

Walter C. Fuller,47, Watertown, was sentenced to three years' probation for May 31 guilty pleas to second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment. He was accused May 4 of threatening his estranged wife, Tina M. Fuller, during a phone call, in violation of an order of protection.

Aaron R. Lolar,24, Watertown, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and unlawfully fleeing a police officer. Sentencing was set for Sept. 13.

It had been alleged in a grand jury indictment that a deputy observed a vehicle pass a school bus with its red lights flashing on South Massey Street on Dec. 22 and tried to stop the vehicle. The vehicle accelerated away, allegedly reaching speeds of about 60 mph in a 30 mph zone on West Main and Bradley streets and speeds of about 80 mph on County Route 190 in the town Pamelia.

After also allegedly driving recklessly on Church and Warren streets in Glen Park, Mr. Lolar ran from the vehicle. He was arrested in early January in Cortland. Mr. Lolar additionally was charged with having and selling heroin and cocaine in late September.

Jeremy R. Scott,23, Burlington, N.J., pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted forgery and fourth-degree grand larceny. He also admitted violating terms of an earlier conditional discharge. Sentencing was set for Sept. 24.

He admitted trying to forge a $150 personal check belonging to Jessica Moyer, Watertown, on Feb. 8. He also admitted that he failed to return a 2008 Dodge Caliber that had been rented from Rent-A-Wreck in the town of Watertown and was due back April 7, but had not been returned by mid-May. By committing the two crimes, he violated an Aug. 31 conditional discharge to which he was sentenced for having a stolen debit card in his possession.
