Man accused of damage

to laptop during dispute

A Watertown man allegedly slammed his foot on a $600 laptop during a domestic dispute with his wife, damaging the computer.

City police charged Christopher L. Cowherd, 22, of 156 Winthrop St., with third-degree criminal mischief as a result of the Tuesday night incident.

He was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, pending arraignment in City Court.

of possessing illegal knife

Felix A. Ayala-Ortiz, 23, of 232 W. Main St., Apt. 45, is charged with fourth-degree possession of a weapon after Watertown police said they found a dagger inside of a black sheath with a clip, referred to as a boot knife, behind the front door of his apartment.

He was charged at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at his apartment and issued a ticket to appear in City Court.

pushed man down stairs

A Watertown woman allegedly pushed a man down a flight of stairs during a domestic dispute Tuesday night at the couple's apartment.

Nicole L. Sweet, 24, of 1024 Bronson St., Apt. 1, is charged with third-degree assault. Watertown police said she pushed Christopher L. Sowers, same address, down some stairs, causing a cut to his left hand, which required stitches.

She was ordered sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, and is awaiting arraignment in City Court.
