In the race for the 122nd Assembly District, both candidates are selling themselves as something different from what is already on full, pathetic display in Albany. They're both running as quickly away from Albany as possible in hopes that their speed sends them to Albany on Election Day.

I understand that perspective, but what I don't understand is how one candidate can call the other a political opportunist when that same candidate just moved here specifically to run for political office. Brian McGrath moved here to run for Congress and wasn't selected by his party to carry its banner for that office. Now, he's running for another office because another north country political staple, Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, is retiring.

If that's not being opportunistic, I don't know what is.

Stop tossing out the rhetoric and focus on the issues. I support Ken Blankenbush because he's served his community, he's lived in this community and he'll fight for this community in Albany.
