Steelworkers endorse Griffo, Dems

MASSENA — The political action committee of the United Steelworkers, Local 420A, endorsed the following candidates in the upcoming elections: Joseph A. Griffo, R-Rome, for the 47th Senate District seat; Darrel J. Aubertine, D-Cape Vincent, for the 48th Senate District seat; William L. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, for the 23rd Congressional District seat; Democrat Eric Dinallo for state Attorney General; Addie J. Russell, D-Theresa, for the 118th Assembly District seat; and Brian S. McGrath, a Martinsburg Democrat, for the 122nd Assembly District.

In the St. Lawrence County Legislature races, the union endorsed Democrats Vernon D. “Sam” Burns, District 1; Michele W. McQueer, District 4; James A. Bunstone, District 10; Gavin Regan, District 11; Sallie A. Brothers, District 12; Anthony T. Arquiett, District 13; Jonathan S. Putney and District 15. Democrat James M. Sienkiewcyz was endorsed for St. Lawrence County coroner.
