Jan H. Plumadore, who recently finished 31 year career as a judge in both Franklin County and on the state Supreme Court, endorsed Republican Douglas L. Hoffman for the 23rd Congressional District race Tuesday.

Mr. Plumadore, who was also Franklin County's GOP chairman in 1976 and 1977, said he personally witnessed Mr. Hoffman's "childhood struggle with poverty and his eventual success in business."

The former county legislator also worked with Mr. Hoffman on the 1980 Winter Olympic Organizing Committee.

"I trust his judgment; I trust his honesty, and I trust his character," the former judge said in a news release.
