Goulds Corners Road use detoured for construction

Due to construction of the Fort Drum connector, drivers who use Goulds Corners Road will need to use detour routes along Route 11, Route 342 and Waddingham Road, beginning today.

Officials from the state Department of Transportation said the detour will be in place until construction of the bridge that will carry Goulds Corners Road over the new Interstate 781 is complete.

Completion is expected late next summer and the intersection of Goulds Corners and Waddingham roads will become a 4-way stop until the detour is removed.
