WANAKENA — The Ranger School's enrollment for this year is 44, about its average in recent years.
"It's two over last year," Director Christopher L. Westbrook said. "It's a good number and we're pleased."
The school, a a division of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, offers programs in applied science in forest technology and surveying.
Of this year's students, half a dozen are interested in the surveying program, Mr. Westbrook said.
The class includes six women, which is about the usual number it enrolls. Students arrived on campus Aug. 22.
