It's debate day! I'll be live(ish)-blogging from Plattsburgh tonight as the two GOP candidates for the 23rd Congressional District seat debate. Tune in to the blog shortly after 7 p.m. for the tick-tock.

Also, the Watertown Daily Times is launching a Election 2010 mini-site, which will include my stories about the various local, state and federal races, links to my last few blog posts, a shortcut to the Associated Press' stories about New York's political races, and much more. Check it out here.

Now onto the stories...

Matt Doheny and Doug Hoffman didn't wait until tonight's debate to start jabbing each other. They're both up with attack ads on television. But does negative hurt or help a candidate's chances at the polls?

Mr. Hoffman's ad touched off another war of words Tuesday between the two camps.

Mayor Graham thinks there should be a debate on this side of the district.

Incumbent Darrel Aubertine has raised more money since last July than his opponent, Patty Ritchie. (Of course, she only announced her campaign in April.)

Brian McGrath, a Democrat candidate in the 122nd Assembly District, is endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice New York.

Listen to the mayor's "Hotline" broadcast from Tuesday here.
