GLENFIELD — Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:57 p.m. Tuesday on Pine Grove Road in the town of Greig.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said Jordan Wright, 24, Red Creek, was driving north in a 2008 Ford truck belonging to Lewis Tree Service and towing a wood chipper when he drove off the left side of the road for an unknown reason. As he returned to the road, his truck collided head-on with a southbound 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass being driven by Chelsea Hudson, 20, Lowville, deputies said.

Ms. Hudson was taken by helicopter to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, for treatment of serious, unspecified injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Mark Snyder, 19, Watertown, was taken by Lewis County Search and Rescue to Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, where he was stabilized, then transferred to Upstate for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Mr. Wright was not injured.

An investigation into the accident is continuing, deputies said.
