TI Privateers announce opening date, schedule

The Thousand Islands Privateers announced its schedule for the upcoming 2010-11 season Tuesday.

The Federal Hockey League team based in Alexandria will begin its first season against the Rome Frenzy on Oct. 29 at the Bonnie Castle Arena. The schedule consists of 30 home and away games for a 60-game regular season.

The Privateers will compete in the northern portion of the professional hockey league with a majority of the games against Rome and Akwesasne. The full schedule runs until March 13. No individual game times have been set.
