I think it is very important that the person being elected to Congress to represent us this year be a military veteran. We live in perilous times, and it seems that the decisions made about where our troops are stationed and what their future living conditions will be are being made for the most part by people who never wore the uniform of our country.
That is one reason I am supporting Doug Hoffman. Not only was he a staff sergeant in the Army, but he actually served at Fort Drum. He would never do anything to hurt our veterans in any way. We need more ex-sergeants in Congress. They know how to run things.
