Outdoor writer to present seminar on deer hunting

OGDENSBURG — An acclaimed outdoor writer and photographer will be in the city to give tips on helping hunters bag their trophy buck this year.

Charles J. Alsheimer from Avoca, Steuben County, will offer a seminar, "Strategies for Whitetails," at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Odd Fellows Hall, Route 37 and Linden Street Road.

Mr. Alsheimer is a longtime field editor for Deer and Deer Hunting magazine and his articles and photographs appear in publications such as Outdoor Life and Whitetail News. He also is the author of several books on deer hunting.

The seminar is hosted by Ogdensburg Firefighters Local 1799. All proceeds from the seminar will go to its fundraising account that is used for charitable contributions.
