TURIN — Thomas L. Milstead III, 73, of the Brick Block, East Main Street, Turin, died September 1, 2010 at Lewis County General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today, September 3, 2010 at Turin Cemetery with a memorial service to be held at a later date.

Mr. Milstead was born in Pleasantville, N.J. on November 19, 1936, a son of the late Thomas and Caroline Milstead. He graduated from the University of Alabama and worked for The Curtis Publishing Company and was an account manager for the Enquirer.
Tom owned and operated the popular "Easy Street" Restaurant at the Brick Block in Turin during the late 1970's.
Tom was a pre-Vietnam Army Veteran, stationed at Ft. Dix, N.J. in the infantry. He was an accomplished golfer and enjoyed playing at the Turin Highlands Golf Course for many years and held the course record at one time. He was also an avid skier.
