FELTS MILLS — Betty A. Strong, 80, of Burnash Ave., Felts Mills, passed away Thursday evening at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for one week.
The memorial service will be Tuesday, September 7th, at 10 a.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, Outer Arsenal St., with Pastor Stan Gilcash officiating. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery.
She was born in Lewiston, PA, April 7, 1930, a daughter of Joseph O. and Ida Mae Karschner Stringfellow. She married Walter B. Strong August 7, 1948. Mr. Strong retired from the US Air Force, Met Life and the Commissary on Fort Drum in 1996. Mrs. Strong was a homemaker.
Mr. and Mrs. Strong are members of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Besides her husband Walter a resident of Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Walter Jr. and Cherrie, Oklahoma; Douglas and Mary, Plattsburgh. A daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Tom Conley, Liverpool. 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.
