An allegedly intoxicated woman slammed her vehicle early Thursday into two 2011 model Cadillacs on display at Davidson Chevrolet on Route 11 in the town of Watertown, then abandoned her auto and got a ride to Fort Drum, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department disclosed Monday.
Heather E. Privette, 25, Timmonsville, S.C., informed Army officials about her accident, and the Sheriff's Department was notified. She is charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to keep right and a stop sign infraction. Deputies said she had a breath test reading of 0.12 percent blood alcohol content. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.
Also charged with DWI and related offenses:
■ Jose F. Mendoza, 31, of 753 James St., Apt. 4, Clayton, faces charges of aggravated DWI, speeding, driving without a license and operating an unregistered and uninspected vehicle in connection with his arrest at 2:30 a.m. Monday on Route 180 in the town of Hounsfield. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department listed his blood alcohol level of 0.20 percent. Under state law, 0.18 percent BAC is the threshold for aggravated DWI.
■ Larry K. Thomas, 28, of 104 Breen Ave., Unit 102, was arrested by Watertown police on charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor aggravated DWI and driving a vehicle having suspended registration at 9 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Mill Street. His breath test reading was 0.22 percent, police said. The unlicensed-operation charge is a felony because his license was suspended after he was convicted of driving while ability impaired by alcohol in connection with a July 9 arrest in the town of LeRay, police said.
■ Rodney S. Lord, 47, of 6012 James St., Constableville, was arrested by Lewis County sheriff's deputies late Saturday after his vehicle allegedly entered the opposite lane on Franklin Street, Lyons Falls, forcing a patrol car off the road. He was taken into custody on Lyons Falls Road and was charged with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right. The sheriff's office listed his BAC as 0.28 percent.
■ Chad M. Weaver, 29, of 232 Weldon Drive, Watertown, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 2:40 a.m. Monday on Route 26 in the town of Alexandria. He also was cited with speeding at 52 mph in a 30-mph zone, failure to keep right and crossing hazard markings. He had a breath test result of 0.17 percent BAC, deputies said.
■ Tevin R. Mapson, 21, Leland, N.C., initially was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday to be charged with speeding at 92 mph in a 55-mph zone of Route 283 in the town of Pamelia. He also was cited with driving without a license. He registered 0.12 percent BAC on the breath test, according to the sheriff's office.
■ Kimberly A. Bennink, 34, Northridge, Calif., was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 12:50 a.m. Monday on Route 12 in the town of Alexandria, where she initially was cited as speeding at 61 mph in a 40-mph zone. She tested at 0.10 percent BAC, according to the sheriff's office.
■ Heather J. McCraney, 22, Fort Drum, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on Route 283 in the town of Pamelia, and additionally was cited with failure to keep right and crossing hazard markings. Her test reading was 0.15 percent BAC, deputies said.
■ Bret A. Kuehnle, 34, of 531 Francis St., Carthage, was arrested by state police at 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Thorpe and State streets in Carthage. He tested at 0.15 percent BAC, police said.
