Survey favors GOP in midterm elections

Response to a recent survey on Congress showed that 49 percent preferred a Republican candidate over a Democrat. In addition, two-thirds of Republicans consider themselves "extremely motivated" to vote while less than half of Democrats do, according to the latest USA Today/Gallup Poll. President Barack Obama's 43 percent approval rating bodes ill for his party since previous years have shown that when a president's approval sinks below 50 percent, his party suffers in midterm elections. We'll see.
