Hoffman well received

Your coverage of Matthew A. Doheny at the Boonville Woodsmen's Field Days Parade was very thorough. Douglas L. Hoffman's name was mentioned, thank you. However, there could be much more to say about Mr. Hoffman's campaign for the congressional seat, like the great ovation during his appearance in the parade at the opening of the Lewis County Fair.

Also, at the Boonville parade Mr. Hoffman received the same warm welcome. I was pleased and invigorated by the warmth and sincerity that was given to Doug and myself as we passed out pamphlets and greetings.

Many well-wishers along the parade route stated that they were glad that he was back again this year, and that they intended to vote for him again. We reminded them of the Sept. 14 primary date and that their continued support was needed.

I have often heard from my Lewis County friends and neighbors about their confidence in his experience in the 23rd Congressional District. His stand on the respect of life, in all stages, is also very well received in our community.
