Dandrow, Mackin lift Cougars, combining for 4 goals in win

HAMMOND — Kamrie Dandrow scored two goals and added three assists to lead the Edwards-Knox girls soccer team to an 8-2 rout of Hammond in the Northern Athletic Conference West Division opener for each team on Wednesday.

Mercedes Mackin scored two goals for Edwards-Knox. Ashley Davison added one goal with two assists while Harleigh LeBarge scored one goal with one assist. Veronica White and Sarah Manning added single goals.

Alyssa Crosby scored twice for Hammond.

CHATEAUGAY 1, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0

Mike Trombly scored an unassisted goal in the 11th minute to lead Chateaugay past the Panthers in an East Division game in Brushton. It was the opening game for both squads. Erik Fleury made eight saves for the shutout.

Amanda Gadway scored 12 service points and added 11 kills to lead the Huskies to a 27-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-10 win over Potsdam (0-2) in a Northern Athletic Conference match in Malone.

Ashley Gadway scored 18 points with 11 assists and Allison Poupore added 11 points for the Huskies (2-0).

Nicole Smoke scored 18 points with nine assists and seven kills to lead the Shamrocks (2-0) to a 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-17 win over OFA (1-1) in Fort Covington.

Michelle Barkley scored seven points and had three kills for the Golden Bears in a 25-23, 25-21, 28-26 loss to Tupper Lake (1-0) in Canton.

Christina Morales served 21 points to lead the Wildcats (2-0) to a 19-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 victory in Brushton.
