City police seek 2 men

after midday break-in

Watertown police are looking for two men they say stormed into an apartment at 833 Superior St., each reportedly holding a handgun, and stole electronic equipment and cash Thursday afternoon.

Police said that about 12:28 p.m., Bradlee J. Carlisle, 20, called emergency dispatchers and said that two men broke into his apartment, struggled with him and a visitor, Trevor J. Harding, 22, and left with property and cash.

The two men — described as being a white male about 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a thin build and wearing baggy clothes, and a black male about 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build — then fled the area in a four-door Buick sedan, police said.

Mr. Carlisle suffered a minor laceration during the altercation. Mr. Harding was not injured. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 782-2233.

Alleged assault brings

charges for Hilton man

ALEXANDRIA BAY— Phillip M. Case, 20, Hilton, was charged by state police at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday at 110 Walton St. with second-degree assault over an incident that allegedly took place at 12:50 a.m. Aug. 15 at James and Market Streets.

He is accused of striking Edward Zeilnhofer, Watertown, in the head with a closed fist, knocking him to the concrete sidewalk and causing him to have a seizure, according to police.

The victim also suffered a broken nose, a laceration to the left ear and several broken teeth, police said.

Mr. Case was arraigned in Village Court and released on his own recognizance.

Five teenagers charged

over a drinking party

Watertown police have cited five teenagers after officers broke up a large party Wednesday night along South Hycliff Drive. The following have addresses listed as 435 S. Hycliff Drive., Apt. 603A, and were charged with criminal nuisance as a result of the party:

■ Neal L. Vecellio, 17.

■ Christopher P. Otero, 19.

■ Phillip M. Ramos, 18.

■ Sean Hernandez, 19.

■ Thomas P. Prescott, 19.

Officers said the five hosted a party at their residence and allowed underage participants to drink alcohol inside and outside of the apartment. They each were issued a ticket to appear in City Court.

Man accused of damaging

televisions, photo frames

Nathaniel Gary III, 19, of 254 E. Main St., Apt. 3, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after city police allege he smashed two flat-screen televisions and two photo frames during a domestic fight.

He is charged with felony criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said the value of damaged property owned jointly by him and his girlfriend, Tammy L. Black, 26, exceeds $600.

In an unrelated incident Aug. 26, Mr. Gary and Ms. Black also have another child-endangerment charge pending in City Court.

Man accused of mischief,

having possession of knife

Trey-Eric J. Messina, 20, of 140 High St., Apt. 2, is accused of using a "metal knuckle knife" to slash a hanging poster at an Olive Street residence.

Watertown police charged him with fourth-degree mischief and fourth-degree possession of a weapon after an incident that allegedly took place Tuesday at 668 Olive St.

Mr. Messina was arrested at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday at his apartment. He was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown and issued a ticket to appear in City Court.

Theresa man is accused

of second-degree rape

THERESA — Karl L. Finley, 22, of 36563 Shell Road, was jailed Tuesday under $25,000 bail after being charged by state police with second-degree rape.

He was arraigned before Theresa Town Justice Roger Duvall and awaits grand jury action.

Police said he additionally is charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child for alleged activity in February with a 13-year-old girl in Antwerp.

Carthage school bus hits

pickup truck; no injuries

BLACK RIVER — A Carthage Central School District bus collided with a pickup truck Thursday morning at routes 342 and 283.

Emergency dispatchers said children were riding on the bus at the time of the accident, although it was unclear how many were aboard. No injuries were reported.

Dispatched to the scene were state police, along with the Black River Fire Department and Black River Ambulance Squad.

Boonville man arrested

on rape, related charges

PORT LEYDEN — A Boonville man was charged by state police Saturday with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

Joseph G. Hutchins, 22, is being held under $10,000 bail in Lewis County jail, Lowville, in connection with an incident Friday in which he is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl in the town of Leyden, police said.

Fort Drum woman cited

with damaging other's car

City police charged a woman early Wednesday with reckless endangerment to property after she allegedly kicked another woman's car.

Tyeisha A. Bowman, 27, Fort Drum, is summoned to City Court as a result of the incident late Tuesday at the residence of the auto owner, Sherrie R. Cubero, 523 Clay St.

Police say man damaged

door to his apartment

A man is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after city police say he punched and dented the metal door of his apartment Tuesday afternoon during a domestic fight.

Temerius D. Long, 25, of 1708 Ohio St., Apt. 61, is due to appear in City Court for arraignment.

Theresa teenager accused

of damage to coin laundry

HAMMOND — A 14-year-old Theresa youth was charged by state police Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and will face action in St. Lawrence County Family Court.

Police said the youth is accused of causing about $30 in damage Aug. 30 at the Coin Laundromat.
