Acciona prepares two applications

St. Lawrence Wind Farm’s site plan application should be ready “within a matter of weeks,” said project manager Timothy Q. Conboy.

The environmental review of the project in Cape Vincent ended on Wednesday, when the town Planning Board approved a final environmental impact statement and issued its own findings.

He and other staff for developer Acciona Wind Energy USA need to read and address those findings and figure out what new material they need to produce for the site plan application.

“We’ll see what we’ve got already and we’ll create the new parts we need,” he said.

The developer will also compile an application for a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement. That will soon be given to the Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency.
